Overview
Endeavor Air is recruiting first officers for its regional jet operation. The position places pilots in a structured airline environment where they must maintain current knowledge of company manuals, federal regulations, training requirements and aircraft procedures. First officers support safe and efficient flights, verify crew legality and aircraft status, coordinate with dispatch and maintenance, complete operational reports and protect passenger safety and comfort. Entry is available through a full ATP or one of several restricted-ATP pathways, each carrying a different flight-time threshold. Consequently, no single total-time minimum applies to every eligible applicant, although all candidates must meet federal certificate, medical, age, work and screening conditions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge of company policies, manuals and applicable federal regulations.
- Support safe, efficient flight operations and verify crew legality before duty.
- Coordinate operational matters with dispatch and maintenance personnel.
- Complete required aircraft, trip and safety reports.
- Maintain medical, training, flight and qualification currency.
- Protect passenger safety and comfort throughout each flight.
- Review and act on relevant safety information and company communications.
Requirements
- FAA ATP or eligibility to obtain an ATP or restricted ATP before required service.
- Flight-time eligibility varies by pathway: generally 1,500 hours, with approved 1,250, 1,000 or 750-hour restricted-ATP routes.
- Current FAA Class 1 medical certificate.
- FCC restricted radiotelephone permit.
- Minimum age of 21.
- High-school diploma or equivalent.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Valid passport and availability for irregular schedules.
- Successful completion of background, drug and other required screening.
