Overview
Costanzo Air is recruiting full-time flight instructors to teach in Cessna and Cirrus aircraft. Instructors conduct lessons within the company's training framework and applicable federal rules, prepare lesson plans, brief and debrief students, monitor progress and keep training records current. They also confirm that assigned aircraft and instructional resources are ready for use and work with colleagues to maintain consistent standards. The employer values instructional experience and a complete set of instructor qualifications, but it expresses some credentials as preferred rather than absolute. Candidates need strong teaching, communication and safety knowledge together with unrestricted authorisation to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Deliver flight and ground instruction under company and federal training standards.
- Prepare lesson plans and conduct clear pre-flight and post-flight briefings.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate student and training records.
- Confirm aircraft and instructional materials are ready before lessons.
- Collaborate with other instructors to maintain consistent programme standards.
- Keep current with applicable regulations and safety practices.
Requirements
- CFI and CFII qualifications; MEI is preferred.
- Either about one year of instructor experience or at least 300 hours of dual instruction is preferred.
- Strong communication, teaching and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of FAA regulations and flight-safety practices.
- Unrestricted authorisation to work in the United States.
- Ability to provide two professional references.
