Overview

JSX is hiring an ATR quick-upgrade captain candidate in Las Vegas. The pilot initially performs first-officer duties while progressing toward command, completing detailed pre-flight checks, reviewing maintenance status, weather and routing, supporting captain decisions and following FAA and company procedures. The job also includes aircraft turns, discrepancy recording, recurrent training and occasional baggage support. Applicants need substantial total and multi-engine experience, recent flight activity, appropriate FAA certificates and medical fitness, along with identification, travel, driving and work-authorisation credentials. Turbine experience and a higher total are preferred.

Responsibilities

- Review maintenance records, notices, fuel, weather and routing before flight.
- Complete required aircraft checks and follow FAA and company procedures.
- Communicate clearly and support the captain’s operational decisions.
- Assist with cabin turns between sectors.
- Record maintenance discrepancies accurately.
- Complete recurrent training and proficiency checks.
- Help with baggage handling when operationally necessary.

Requirements

  • Hold a high-school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least 2,500 hours of total flight time.
  • Have at least 500 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
  • Have flown at least 100 hours within the previous 12 months.
  • Have no disqualifying FAA violation history.
  • Hold the appropriate FAA pilot certificate.
  • Hold an FAA First-Class medical certificate.
  • Hold an ATP or Commercial multi-engine certificate.
  • Hold an FCC radio permit.
  • Hold a valid passport and driving licence.
  • Be authorised to work in the United States.
  • At least 3,000 total hours and turbine experience are preferred.
