Overview
Cargojet is recruiting a first officer for its overnight cargo network from Hamilton. The first officer supports the captain with planning, preparation, and management of each flight, conducts take-offs and landings when authorised, completes delegated duties, and must be ready to assume command if the captain becomes incapacitated. The vacancy requires professional Canadian pilot qualifications, a defined total-time and multi-turbine background, operational English, and unrestricted network travel. Applicants must also be eligible to work in Canada and obtain the required secure-airport identity credential.
Responsibilities
- Assist the captain with flight planning, preparation, and in-flight management.
- Perform take-offs and landings when specifically authorised by the captain.
- Complete operational duties delegated by the captain.
- Assume command if the captain becomes incapacitated.
Requirements
- Hold a valid ATPL or CPL with IATRA, or with both SAMRA and SARON examinations completed.
- Have at least 1,000 total flight hours, including 250 multi-turbine hours.
- Hold a Canadian passport and be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be able to travel without restriction throughout the operator's network.
- Be eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card.
- Demonstrate ICAO English Level 4 or higher.
- Comply with the employer's safety-sensitive drug and alcohol policy.
